a little exposure for an artist friend…

Michael and I know a wonderful guy by the name of Noah who works down at one of our favorite restaurants, Market Street Grill, in Ballard.  Noah is also an artist and we found out on Monday that he has some new exhibits coming up and I thought I’d share some of the info with you in case you’re looking for something interesting to do and for new artist info. I’m pasting in the email I got from Noah that describes his work as well as provides the info for his upcoming exhibit in Pioneer Square.

My current body of work is a series of acrylic paintings on canvas with printed collage elements that are inspired by traditional Japanese artwork, decorative patterns and my observations of nature. I lived in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />Japan for a year when I was 7 years old and that experience continues to have an influence in subtle ways on my life. My current paintings are composed mainly of stylized cloud and floral images. They have a floating feeling about them and lend a calm, peaceful effect while being playful in nature.

I am delighted to share some of my paintings and cast glass tiles that I completed during my PONCHO Artist in Residency at Pratt Fine Arts Center this last year. I will be exhibiting this work at the following location:
