Episode #152 – Nella Hawks, President of Daffodil Scholarship Foundation

This week, Reba and Eric welcomed to the show Nella Hawks, President of the Daffodil Scholarship Foundation. She spoke about thedaffodil recipients Pierce County Daffodil Festival, and the Scholarship Foundation which awards each of the 23 Daffodil Princesses with a $2,000 scholarship to the post-secondary school of their choice.

Held on April 4th, the Pierce County Daffodil Festival is a community event aimed at promoting education, leadership and local pride in Pierce County. The Grand Floral Parade travels through Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner, and Orting in one day. Attendees can witness the flower parade and participate in the election of the festival queen, who is selected from one of the 24 participating schools in the surrounding area.
