Wood Stove buy back program available now in Pierce County (WA)!

From our friends at Puget Sound Clean Air we get word about this great, new program out of the Pierce County area!!!!

It’s no secret. Older, uncertified wood stoves and inserts are dirty, less efficient and pollute the air ”“ both inside your home and the air around your neighborhood.

$1.5 million in funding is now available to help remove, recycle or replace the estimated 24,000 uncertified devices in the Tacoma-Pierce County Smoke Reduction Zone. If you live within this zone and have an uncertified stove or fireplace insert installed in your home, we can help you move on to better heat.

If you are low-income qualified, we can help you replace your pre-1995 or uncertified wood stove or insert with a cleaner heating device, at no cost to you.
