We were lucky enough to have Rick Marshall of the Renton Fire Department with us on the show on April 19th. In the interview, we discussed why there is a need for the Renton Fire Authority district to be created and what positive impact it will have for residents.
Not only was Rick Marshall a great guest to have to discuss the fire district, but we got the extra fun discovery that he is a former colleague of my co-host, Eric Aasness. Both of them apparently worked together at a local pizza business, Pizza Haven, that no longer exists here.
If you’d like to learn more about the Renton Fire Authority and Prop 1, you can download this PDF file with more details or visit the link above to see their website.

Our final guest of the day was Rick Hayes of National LightNet (a new company to the Puget Sound area) who was there to tell us about an upcoming fundraising event for MIB Agents. This is a great organization that is providing support to kids who are battling osteosarcoma (bone) cancer. If you can make it down to Pyramid Brewing on 1st Ave on May 1st, 2016 from 10am to 1pm, you too can become a “hero” by donating any kind of amount to help grant wishes/needs to these kids.
and here is the awesomeness that Rick Marshall found plastered all over his office after this most fun show…. although his buddies doctored it up to say “Omar the Dough Roller” which you can see here at this link: dough boy
